Osprey Museum
The Osprey Museum was founded by volunteers in 1992 and incorporated as a non-profit organization on September 21st, 1994, with charitable status #895757896.
Community continues to support the museum and local people welcome your energy to get involved!
The Museum’s Mission:
To establish, maintain and conduct a collection of artifacts, antiques, memorabilia and historical items having significance to the Township of Osprey and surrounding area;
To store, show, display and care for items of interest pertaining to the people, residents and history of the Township of Osprey and surrounding area; and
To encourage and promote the preservation of the history and traditions of the Township of Osprey and surrounding area.
The Museum welcomes visitors to two sites:
The Historical Rob Roy Schoolhouse
634632 Pretty River Road, Grey Highlands (former Osprey Township) – SS # 10, at the corner of Grey Rd. 31 and Road 63.
The main displays are located at Rob Roy in the school house. Beside the school is a building devoted to early farming and household items used by settlers in the former Osprey Township.
The Historical Salvation Army Church
315 Mill Bridge Road, Feversham
In addition to historical displays, the Quilters group gathers in this building on Thursdays.
The Museum’s Activities:
Volunteers host regular quilting bees as well as luncheons and special events. They also coordinate the museum’s family files for genealogical research and maintain two heritage buildings.
These actions carry forward the stories of Osprey Township’s early settlers.
In 2025, Osprey Museum collaborated with Beaver Valley Destination Stewardship on Tour Workshops Of Ecological Youth Energize Destination Stewardship (TWOEYEDS) Experiences.
These Indigenous-led activities were hosted in collaboration with Bagida’waad Alliance and AkiTours.
The TWOEYEDS project started when BVDS Core Team member Kate Russell approached the Museum to become a qualified donee for a project coined WOODS (Workshops Outdoors On Destination Stewardship) in 2024. The board agreed and the rest, as they say, is history.

In the summer of 2025, three students assisted at the Rob Roy site with bringing family files up to date, maintaining heritage equipment and coordinating special events and luncheons for the TWOEYEDS Experiences project.
Visiting the Museum:
The Museum is operated as a seasonal museum open between the last weekend in May and Thanksgiving weekend. Hours of operation are irregular due to volunteer availability.
